As a professional educator and homeschooling mom, the BEST advice l can offer you for teaching in any circumstance is to take advantage of every.single.perk. your situation has to offer. No learning environment is perfect. Let go of that expectation as it does not serve you or your student well. It doesn't matter if you're teaching pre-school or AP Calculus, 1 kid or 257, teaching is hard enough. Take advantage of every perk and opportunity to which you have access. The goal of those supporting teachers and students in this world should ALWAYS be to remove obstacles while creating opportunities.
At the moment, while we miss the fun social opportunities public school offers, we do have the benefit of doing school anywhere. So that's what we are doing.
