Teaching Kindness in an Unkind World

Teaching Kindness in an Unkind World

I’m afraid that the demands we’ve allowed into our lives as parents, and sheer lack of making it a priority, has led to a serious neglect of teaching our kids to be kind to one another and being respectful of their teachers and other adults at all times. Regardless of ANY excuse your child may have, legit or not, an unkind heart will NOT serve your child well in life.

Puzzle Time

Who are our puzzler friends?

We always have a puzzle going at our house - it makes for good brain breaks and conversation. Research shows that active puzzlers maintain healthy cognitive function as they age.

While bday shopping for Liv, l found these Together Time puzzles at Walmart. The lower left corner starts with large pieces and the pieces get smaller as you work to the upper right, so there's something for all ages to enjoy. We are past the stage of really needing that, but my girls would have loved these puzzles as littles. Still, Mickey and Minnie's bakery was a hit with a newly 9 year old.

What kind of puzzles do you enjoy?
