12-Toiletries-and-Beauty-Products.jpg

Hey there!

This is Amber and I would like to share with you a little bit about myself and why I feel it is so important to eliminate toxins from homes. In 2012, my family was really struggling to find a healthier life. We had many challenges and this momma was very overwhelmed. My son was two months old and my daughter was three years old, and I was diagnosed with a staph infection. I immediately started researching natural solutions so I could continue nursing my newborn baby. The more I learned about toxins in our home and processed foods, I knew we had to make some big changes.

I jumped in head first because I so desperately needed quick improvements. Natural products can be hard to find and I found the health foods stores to be more costly. At this time, I found Young Living and started using their products. Young Living is known around the world for their synthetic-free products and essential oils of unmatched quality.

There is an easy way to swap your current household and personal care products to safer Young Living alternatives on a budget by doing a little each month. Let me help you!

Month 1: Get rid of ALL cleaners! I have one cleaner for my entire house and it’s Young Living Thieves Cleaner. It can be used for anything and it costs $22 (with a wholesale account) for a very concentrated bottle that will last you ages.

Month 2: Get rid of laundry soap and dish soap. Young Living’s Thieves laundry soap is highly concentrated and I can submerge my hands in the dish soap without hesitation.

Month 3: Get rid of personal care items such as deodorant and shampoo. Young Living’s deodorant and shampoo are my family’s favorites. The deodorants have a bazillion other uses, and the shampoo can be diluted 1:1 with distilled water for normal hair.

Month 4: Get rid of beauty supplies. I love Young Living’s ART line-foaming cleanser, toner and moisturizer.  FACT- The skin is our biggest organ and anything that comes into contact with it is rapidly absorbed into our bloodstream. A baby’s skin is three times thinner than an adult’s.

How easy is this?!!!! Within 4 months, your entire household can be toxin-free.

The average person applies 300 chemicals to their body every single day, and 80 of those chemicals before breakfast! Most are from four things- soap, makeup, shampoo, and hair care. The biggest pollutants in our home are fabric softener, dryer sheets, air freshener plug-ins, and candles. Weare literally poisoning our family’s every day with ingredients whose names can’t even be pronounced. Just check out that bright blue dish soap, the cleaner you use for your kitchen counters, processed food labels, and more. Health and safety data only exists for 15 percent of all the chemicals out there, even though so many are already known to cause asthma or endocrine disruptions.

Young children are particularly vulnerable to toxic exposure due to their developing organs and reproductive system; therefore, it is important to avoid these chemicals whenever at all possible.

By reading labels and seeking fragrance free products derived from natural sources you can help protect your family from those toxic chemicals.

Action Step: In the comments below, name one product you are going to swap out immediately for a safer alternative. Then go do it!
